Gatorland is one of the most loved and classic attractions found in Florida. Located just between Orland Kissimme on the South Orange Blossom Trail. Founded by Owen Godwin in 1949 and still privately owned by his family up to date. The place has been known as the “Alligator Capital of the World” for its signature attractions of hundreds and thousands of alligators and crocodiles and reptiles of different species. The place has just so many sights and sounds to see.

From reptile shows to petting zoos and educational shows, you and your family will surely have a great time at this all natural, low tech place making us remember how beautiful and green nature is and how these animals in the park just brings everything into a very lively place. You can even go around and shop for unique souvenirs.

The place has a number of attractions that you can go and checkout. There’s Alligator Island where the humongous reptiles can be seen at the Gator Lake just swimming around and enjoying the sunny Florida. The Express Railroad which has been around since 1965 and has allowed guests to see the south end of the park that has alligators, animals displays and lots more. The place where gators breed and grow the Breeding Marsh and Bird Rookery will let you see just that.

For thrill seekers who want to meet these crocs at a closer view then the Jungle Crocs will let you “snap” into that. Get to see how Central Florida looked like way back and enjoy the walk and Cypress trees at Swamp Walk. Love pink? Then feast your eyes at the Flamingo Lagoon and see the American flamingos just go about the place or see the rest of the feathery gang at Very Merry Aviary. Reptiles are never complete without the snakes. These good reptiles are always misinterpreted as bad, and at Snakes of Florida, you get to see the good side of the “snakesssss”.

Great shows are also offered here for you and your whole family to see. Not only do you get to enjoy watching but you also get to learn a lot about animals and even get involved with the activity shows.
