Disney World Epcot – Introduces Tomorrow

Epcot has a really rich historical background. Walt Disney’s first idea was to build an ideal community of the future that will house 20,000 residents and serve as a test bed for city planning. Epcot originally was the acronym for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. It was so utopian that Walt Disney envisioned it as having underground automobile traffic leaving pedestrians safe above ground. After Walt Disney’s death, the Walt Disney Company decided that it did not want to be in business of a growing city.
